23354 US HWY 6 Atkinson IL 61235
Atkinson Motor Sports Park, known as Gob Hill, is located in Northwestern Illinois on 216 acres of the former Peabody Coal processing facility. The park offers 100 acres of timber just waiting for new trails to be cut in and explored. The remaining 116 acres open up to a rolling landscape contrasted by deep crevases and 3 ponds.
Gob Hill opened in 2007 and the owners, along with the Illinois DNR, have been steadily transforming this park. In 2008 a professional M/X track was installed along with a 4 mile perimeter trail. Planned for the future, a 75-site campground, a connecting trail to the Village of Atkinson and a couple more M/X tracks for beginner and experienced to play on.
